PARENTS AND FRIENDS of Arcadia Music Club

Welcome parents, relatives and friends of the Class of 2014. As the class of 2011 prepares for their last year at Arcadia High School, the Arcadia Music Club hopes that you will be a vital part of the Tradition of Excellence that has been established by the Class of 2011 as well as those alumni that have gone before them.

Each school year the Music Directors provide the goals for each music group. The students provide the hard work, enthusiasm and discipline. However, this is not enough to achieve the high success in competition and the pride in performance that the students and faculty work so hard to achieve.

The Arcadia High School Music Club supports the activities of the Marching Band, Percussion, Color Guard, and Orchestra. We as parents, relatives and friends of this outstanding music program provide vital and necessary resources so that our students can achieve their goals. Our time and participation is critical for the success of the music programs.

No matter how tight your schedule, time or pocketbook may be, there is always a way for you to help the Club. You can volunteer for many of the activities throughout the year, such as, any competition, concert or football game. Join other volunteers at tailgate meals for band reviews and field shows, music camp, or any of our annual events such as the Car Wash, the Arcadia Festival of Bands, Spaghetti Dinner, the Orchestra Benefit Dinner and the Arcadia Color Guard Invitationals. All talents and skill levels are welcomed and needed.

We have some exciting changes this year. We welcome our new orchestra director, Ms. Pin Chen, following Mr. Rick England’s taking on the role of the new choral director at AHS. Please join us at the New Parents Orientation on September 8 at 6pm in the Band Room after you drop off your student for Wednesday night practice and at the first General Meeting/Pot Luck on Tuesday, September 21 at 6:30pm. Please look for our announcements in your email.

This is a very important time in your student’s life and this organization offers a wonderful opportunity to share a special time with your students that you may not have again. Enjoy this time and share with your students in the Tradition of Excellence that is the Arcadia High School Music Program.
