President Message

The school year is quickly coming to an end and with it the final musical performances of the year. The Color Guard and Percussion, just back from National competitions in Dayton, Ohio, will perform their spring shows on Saturday May 10th in the North Gymnasium. On Tuesday May 20th you can enjoy the Pops Concerts with performances by Concert Band I, Orchestra II and Concert Band III. Then, on Wednesday May 21st, Orchestra I, Concert Band II and Orchestra III perform in the gymnasium for this very popular spring event. This is an excellent chance to see all the hard work our students, under the Directors’ leadership, have put in to making our outstanding music programs live up to the tradition of excellence here at Arcadia High school.

I would especially like to say “Thank You” to all the Board Members, Committee Chairs, and volunteers that came out to help this year and make the music programs so successful. It takes countless hours by hundreds of volunteers to provide the type of program we have at Arcadia High and it only happens when everyone gets involved. I would also like to thank the directors for their support of the parents as well as their continued excellence as teachers and leaders of our students.

The best part of every year is the time we spend supporting our student music groups and the time we spend with our fellow parent volunteers. The work has been hard, the pay low, and the rewards immense. The sense of community we build with directors, students and parents makes a difference in our lives and the lives of our students. Thanks for helping to make that difference!
