PARENTS AND FRIENDS of Arcadia Music Club

The Arcadia Music Club is a cooperative group of parents who actively support the Instrumental Music Program at the Arcadia High School and the Arcadia Unifed School District.  We have hundreds of students enrolled in our Orchestra, Band, Percussion, and Color Guard units.  These students take part in dozens of performances, competitions, and activities throughout the school year.
 
Each event is important in the lives of our students.  They work very hard to achieve excellence in performance, and while simultaneously develop their life skills of leadership, teamwork,  hard work, cooperation, friendship, and respect.  It's a valuable program for many reasons, and it is our privilege to serve and support it!
 
This will be an exciting year and the schedule is full!  School is just starting and many things have already happened including New Marchers Camp, Leaders Training, Marching Practice, and Music Camp.  Other events will come quickly and we need to be involved.  
 
All of us are needed.
 
All offers to help are appreciated. We need many kinds of skills.  There is an appropriate and fun role for each of us.  We need parents to be aware of the instrumental music activities so that they can support and encourage their students at home.  We need parents and friends to help set up and take down, fit uniforms, provide snacks, supervise at fundraisers, distribute information, drive vehicles, sort uniforms, serve spaghetti, coordinate, greet, encourage, and just be present. We do all of this in an atmosphere of fun and respect. No matter what your level of availability, there are rewarding and enjoyable opportunities for you!
 
For those who are new to the Music Club, we will have an orientation meeting on Wednesday, September 7 at 6:10pm in the Band Room.  
 
We need help with the first home football game on September 9 for the all day Marching rehearsals of September 3 and 10. 
 
We need a lot of volunteers to supervise the annual Car Wash fundraiser on September 17.  This is a big fundraiser for our students and a traditional event in our community.  Please participate with enthusiasm!
 
For all the membership, there will be a great general meeting and potluck dinner on Tuesday, September 20.  This will be a great time to connect with new parents and returning parents and our Music Directors.  I hope to see you all there!
 
Upcoming events include the Orchestra Fall and Winter concerts, Marching Band parades and Band and Color Guard field shows.  Very special events include our band's participation at the L.A. County Fair and in the Tournament of Roses Parade!
