Freshmen Orchestra's Long Beach Festival Success

On March 19th, the Freshmen Orchestra (Orchestra I) traveled down to the southern end of the Long Beach Freeway and into that City’s Annual Festival. Ninety-nine strong, Arcadia High School’s Orchestra I, not only had a very pleasant trip to Long Beach but a very successful one as well. Their repertoire included 1) Allegro, 2) Scherzo Pizzicato, and 3) Serenade for String Orchestra Movements 1, 3, & 4. The Freshmen Orchestra played in an outstanding fashion that belied their youth, impressing the judges (to the pleasure of Maestros Forbes and England), thereby receiving ratings of Superior, which is higher than Excellent or Very Good.
