Vote for AEF to win $500,000
Better yet, the AEF has earned the right to enter the second phase of the contest with a first place prize of $500,000. We have a real chance of winning as we are the only K-12 public school district still in the running.
The winner will be the one with the most votes, that's all, just vote for AEF. Deadline to vote is May 25th 9:00pm PDT.
If you already have a Facebook account, click on the button below to go directly to vote for AEF.

With a vibrant community like Arcadia, we can do this.
You must vote on Facebook. If you don't have a Facebook account, please consider signing up for one so that you can vote. You can also ask your children and friends to vote on Facebook. Ask your co-workers, church and neighbors.
If we don't win first place, there are substantial prizes for the top 10 -- it's really worth the small effort it takes. We are currently in the top 10 -- there's a real possibility to win big!

Useful Music Camp Information (updated 8/20)
Please follow the links below to download information regarding Music Camp. NOTE: Updated Visitors Day Bus Info and Directions to Idyllwild.
IMPORTANT! Music Camp Loading Directions
Due to registration and construction on campus, no parking lots are available for Music Camp parking. Luggage and instruments need to be dropped off on El Monte (the street on the west side of the campus). A truck for Idyllwild Pines (guard and band) girls and a truck for all Camp Maranatha (orchestra) luggage will be parked near El Monte for easiest drop off. Band boys' luggage must be carried to the area near the large trailer. Due to the large number of people involved, we are extending the luggage drop off time to begin at 7:00 through 8:30. Please be ready to drop off luggage/sleeping bags as quickly as possible so others can pull in and do the same. All luggage/sleeping bags need to be at AHS by 8:30 Friday morning. Students return home until the 10:00 check in time. We appreciate the cooperation of all. Construction does provide a lot of challenges, but we are looking forward to a great future.

AMC Welcomes New Orchestra Director

We are pleased to announce that Pin Chen has been selected as our new Orchestra Director.
Ms. Chen grew up in Irvine and attended Woodridge High School. She graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Music degree with Honors in Instrumental and General Music Education. She is an outstanding violinist and has been teaching private violin lessons since she was 14 years old. Her teaching career includes positions at high schools in San Diego, Irvine and Los Angeles. She speaks French, Mandarin and English. Interesting Fact: Ms. Chen was a member of the Fencing Team (Foilist) while she was attending Northwestern University.
We are excited to have Ms. Chen join our Music Staff at Arcadia High School.
