55th Annual Arcadia Festival of Bands

First, thank you to all the volunteers from Arcadia High School and from First Avenue, Foothills, and Dana Middle Schools.  Your participation in all Music Club, Marching Band, Color Guard, Percussions, and Orchestra events support the success that our music program and students benefit from.

This year’s Arcadia Festival of Bands continued to be one of the highlights of the Band Competition season.  All the participating bands performed with excellence and pride.  The success of our event is demonstrated by the enjoyment of our parents, relatives, Arcadians, outside visitors and band participants.  We received many compliments about the large number of volunteers we were able to assemble and how well organized we are for such a large event.  One of the best compliments we received was from a participant who wished us continued success and hopes that we would be able to sponsor this event for years to come.

At this time I would like to thank the City of Arcadia, the City Council, the City Manager, the Arcadia Police Department, the Public Works Department, the Arcadia Unified School District Board of Education, the Arcadia Education Foundation, and the Los Angeles Turf Club (Santa Anita Race Track).  The Arcadia Festival of Bands is an annual achievement that would not be the success it is today without their continued support in time and resources.
