Arcadia High School 50th Annual Music Camp (2007)

Wow! The hills of Idyllwild were truly alive with the sound of music made by 585 talented AHS musicians. Orchestra had a record 161 students instructed in large and small groups with outstanding ensembles entertaining in the afternoons. You had to see the salsa to believe it. Over 90% of the band attended flanked by 57 guard members.

Huge strides were made toward being prepared for the rapidly approaching marching season. Chaperones were treated to good music at the beginning of the week and thrilled to hear great music by Friday morning. Hearing the growth is amazing. A huge thank you goes to those who chaperoned during the week. They do get many rewards just being there with a warm community of students and other volunteers, but each gives of their time and caring ways and each is valued and appreciated.

Thanks to each chaperone, nurse, truck driver, and all the others who made this such a strong beginning to a new year. Thank you to volunteering parent Erik Peterson for taking the photos.
