Color Guard
Arcadia High School World Guard earned Bronze Again at WGI in 2007
For those of you unfamiliar with the Color Guard activity, it is an International competitive activity, which encompasses dance, elaborate costuming, sets and what distinguishes us from any other activity, equipment. The equipment used are flags, wooden rifles, and dulled sabers. With these tools and an exciting show design, Color Guard is growing at amazing rates in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. Each year over 500 competing units meet at the World Championships.
Arcadia High School Color Guard is under the direction of George Armenta. George returns once again for his twelfth season with the Arcadia High School Color Guard. Instructional staff for the color guard also includes: Mindy Cobb, Pancho Torres and Victor Reyes. Mindy Cobb returns for her 10th year at Arcadia High School. Mindy is a native of Southern California, currently residing in San Gabriel. Mindy has been involved for many years in color guard activities and marched with such color guards as Classic Image, E'Chappe and The Solution Performance Ensemble. Pancho Torres is from Ontario, California and currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga. Pancho brings many years of experience to Arcadia High School. His marching history includes; The Concord Blue Devils, Jinx Winterguard and Fantasia Winterguard. Also joining our winter staff will be Victor Reyes.
